リリースされてきた東方の嵐シリーズ収録曲を、
リメイク、再レコーディング、リミックス、リマスタリングを施して、
2枚組に29曲約156分に渡って収録。
選曲は大半を投票・再生回数による判定で特に多かった曲となっている。
既に入手困難である『TOHO TEMPEST I』の楽曲を多数収録しているため、
『II』以降から東方の嵐を聴き始めたリスナーにとっては嬉しい選曲となっているはずだ。
また、『II』や『III』の曲もその全曲の音源を一新し、現在できる最高品質にリメイク、
これまで以上に強力なサウンドで曲を聴けるようになった。
特に、MIDIの打ち込みでは欠けてしまいがちな、メタルに不可欠な要素、
『重低音の迫力』を重視し、打ち込みとしてはかなりの重さを出すことに成功している。
さらに、『TOHO TEMPEST III』の選曲段階で漏れてしまった「未発表曲」を1曲、
同じく『III』では完成していなかった大作の完成版が1曲それぞれ収録され、
